A centralised system for environmental monitoring and personnel access records of various premises
To enhance the overall management and monitoring of the kennels and related facilities, the Department plans to apply technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), environmental sensors, video analytics, etc., to develop a centralised system for automatic environmental monitoring and access records management of personnel and detector dogs.

With the centralised system, the department can collect and monitor environmental data of the kennels and related facilities, e.g. room temperature, humidity, brightness and odour to maintain a comfortable living environment for the detector dogs, as well as keeping track of the in and out records of the personnel and detector dogs to provide a more systematic management.
