Current Environment Description
Currently all staffs need to sign-in/sign-out a paper log book to record their attendance
Team manager need to review the log book to ensure staffs have signed correctly and prevent faked record
Contract staffs need to input their attendance in a Record System at the end of each month.
Team manager may make reference of log book to approve staffs’ input in Record System.
Problems and Limitations
Staffs’ effort to sign log book and input Record System is duplicated.
Handwritten logbook is difficult for team manager to cross check when approving contract staffs timesheet.
Log books do not have backup. It could be lost or damaged. Also it occupied physical spaces for archive.
All teammates can access the log book anytime and there is no clocking system. Fake or late signing is possible.
Employment and Labour
The proposed system will support all staffs’ clock-in/clock-out process.
The effort for staffs to input to Record System should be reduced
Clean designed report will be sent to team managers to ease timesheet review.
The new system should be able to backup daily and stored in electronic format.
Staffs can clock-in/clock-out in any office that in different location
The new system should have precaution to fake and late signing
Compatible with shift duty and flexible working hours
